FAQs for Boaters
Do I have to live at River Reach to dock my boat there?
You must be a River Reach property
owner and primary resident to be eligible for dock space. The boat must be registered and insured in the River
Reach homeowners name. Any property owner who leases their unit shall not qualify for dock space. River Reach
renters are not eligible to dock a boat at River Reach.
Is there a minimum or maximum boat size, and how is it measured?
There is no minimum boat
size; however, the maximum boat length is 50 feet, measured from tip to tip of boat including any bow pulpits,
anchors, platforms, outboards fully up, etc.
Is there a waiting list to obtain dock space?
Available dock space fluctuates throughout the
year. There is a waiting list for boats that cannot be assigned a space, but the size of the boat is a factor in
determining when it can be assigned dock space.
The Dockmaster is responsible for assigning dock spaces.
Are there rules in place for caring for and maintaining boats?
Yes, the rules are provided
to those who complete a Request for Dock Space package. Additionally, Boats need to be clean and seaworthy at
all times.
Periodic inspections take place at the Dockmaster’s discretion.
The dock space is a
benefit we offer our residents, and we require that boaters are respectful of our property.
